In order to live up to the richly detailed universe from the Song of Ice and Fire books, Cyanide has chosen to offer us a story-driven RPG, citing Planescape Torment, Baldur’s Gate II and KOTOR as their main influence.

- Takes place during the timeline of the first book.

- There are two protagonists, Mors Westford, a sworn brother of the Night's Watch and skinchanger, and Alester Sarwyk, a Red Priest and heir to Springwater Castle who returns from a long exile to after his father's death, his long absence and strange religion complicating matters. The game alternates chapters between these two characters in a manner similar to the books.

- You cannot customize your Mors or Alester's appearance or name, but do choose their class.

- Combat is real time, but action slows down when queueing up actions on the skill wheel.

- Mors can use his skinchanging ability to sneak around and eavesdrop on conversations.

l'ambientazione, almeno quella del libro, è ottima. Quindi i presupposti per una buona trama ci sono, sta tutto in mano agli sviluppatori insomma.

Comunque sicuramente può venire fuori qualcosa di interessante, anche se dalle immagini e dalla breve descrizione sotto di esse non vedo molti punti in comune con Torment o Baldur's Gate.
