I came across this movie just because I'm a fan of Elaine Cassidy, otherwise I would have never had the chance to know it.
I have to admit that The Truth is quite remarkable. It's a kind of claustrophobic, nervous and unsettling story about a group of people who decide to spend a week seeking their own truth through regular meetings far away from society.
All the characters are very convincing, and despite the show having a slow pace and an almost total lack of music, you will quickly grow interested in and amused by what they all have to say.
Suddenly, but not unexpectedly, there will be the major turn of events this show is about. But as soon as it happens, you will understand that the murder involved is not as striking as it could have been. Actually it is just an excuse to proceed further in the characters development, adding that spicy ingredient the movie needed to take off.
The ending was great, and it really drew me in.
Amazing performance by all the actors, they created just the right atmosphere required by this particular movie. Yet, I do think Cassidy's performance is so awesome she could have saved the movie by herself.
